A new patrol vehicle has begun canvassing the streets of Lodi. On Thursday, the Lodi Police Department unveiled its new Ford SUV patrol vehicle, which will replace one of the standard sedan patrol units.
Within months, six of these vehicles will be on the road. Each vehicle costs $41,000, which includes radios, computers and other equipment, Lodi Police Lt. Steve Nelson said.
Members of the police department spent nearly a year researching vehicles before settling on the Ford.
