Tokay Radio Control Modelers to hold event

The Lodi-based Tokay Radio Control Modelers will have a public remote-control airplane event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The event includes precision-scale radio control aerobatics. On Saturday and Sunday at noon, fliers will compete for prizes by performing freestyle aerobatic maneuvers to music, including aerobatics close to the ground.

Admission and parking are free, and lunch will be available both days. The event is on Racetrack Road, about two miles south of Walnut Grove Road and east of Highway 160. There will be signs from Interstate 5 to the field.

The Tokay Radio Control Modelers were founded in 1970 and promotes the educational and recreational benefits of the sport to people of all ages. The club has 60 members ranging in age from 8 to 88. For more information, call 209-601-8448.
