There's one drawback to stealing school surveillance cameras in Lodi: They record your actions onto a computer stored elsewhere, and the incident might be shown to police officers who recognize you.

That, police said Friday, is how a Lodi man, 28-year-old Ali Asghar, landed in jail.

Great comments on this guy! I never thought that he could be on news like this. i will agree with most of the commenters. its true we cannot fix stupids, but we can at least stop our kids NOT to do stupid things like that or even let them to around gangs or drug additives. We all know when and how kids start those type of activities. i would copy the question of "Giovanina"..One problem people seem to NOt understand is how gangs and terrorists are funded through these types of crimes. I have lived in Lodi for almost 5 years and really like Lodi, else obviously, I would be living somewhere else. Point is, I do NOT go out after the sun sets. Why? Not because I am scared to death for sure. I am a realist, and on foot, I am easy prey. Be they gang bangers, drug addicts, mentally ill, illegals, or someone looking for cash for his next bottle of Whiskey!

Ken H. no matter who said it they are correct, however I believe Ron White said it first. If gang member did indeed through beer bottles and rocks at the cops, I can only hope that law enforcement reacted appropriately, batons, tazers, bean bag guns and what ever it took to arrest and jail these bums. Better screening when entering might avoid some of these problems, shaved head, tats, pants at the knees, sleevless tee shirts, just like no shirts, no shoes, no service, you don`t get in. Ten alleged gang members with a total IQ of under triple digits, no dice Chicago. No place for kids when the sun goes down.

To Whoa Nellie!...Not sure what happened at the Bsrking Dog,,,,but at the festival and surrounding close areas were fights, fights and more fights. Gang members throwing beer bottles and rocks at cops. Hitting others with baseball bats. I won't take my kids to that gang and drug infested festival.

Hmmm is he getting money through selling drugs and stolen items and sending it somewhere? Maybe they need to dig a little deeper on this guy.One problem people seem to NOt understand is how gangs and terrorists are funded through these types of crimes.

How stupid must one idiot be to do this twice?Q: anyone have any clue what the riot was about last night at the Barking Dog? My kids drove by, about 1030pm, said there were 4 cops, people handing out flyers, yelling, etc. I just read in the public notice section that the bar was sold.
