Acampo terrorism suspect Nicholas Teausant will return to California

An Acampo man accused of attempting to flee the United States to fight alongside an al-Qaida splinter group in Syria will be extradited to Sacramento, where he will face a terrorism-related charge, following his arrest near the Canadian border Sunday night.

Nicholas Michael Teausant, 20, appeared in Seattle’s U.S. District Court on Monday afternoon to be arraigned on one count of attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization.
