The following is a list of public meetings in the Lodi and Galt areas this week:

Monday

San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors

Key items:

  • Swearing in of new Supervisor Bob Elliott of Tracy, who replaces the termed-out Leroy Ornellas.
  • Swearing in of Supervisors Steve Bestolarides and Carlos Villapudua, who were elected to a second term in November.
  • Remarks by Bestolarides as outgoing board chairman and by new chairman Ken Vogel.
  • Presentation to outgoing Supervisor Leroy Ornellas.

When and where: 10 a.m., board chambers, 44 N. San Joaquin St., sixth floor, Stockton.

Galt City Council Youth Committee

When and where: 6 p.m., Galt City Hall community room, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Tuesday

Lodi City Council

The regularly scheduled meeting has been canceled.

Lodi Improvement Committee

Key item: Receive reports from community development, the police department and Public Works and discuss issues from the previous meeting.

When and where: 6 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Lodi Parks and Recreation Commission

Key items:

  • Discuss the idea of a park police officer.
  • Approve proposed changes to the Zupo Park Skate Park ordinance.
  • Receive an update on the Zupo Field Outfield Wall Project update.

When and where: 6 p.m., Hutchins Street Square, 125 S. Hutchins St., Lodi.

San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors

Key items:

  • Conduct a public hearing on the San Joaquin Farm Bureau Federation’s appeal of the Planning Commission’s approval of a large agricultural store and deli with indoor seating at Viaggio Winery, located on the southwest corner of Taddei and Bender roads. The Farm Bureau maintains that the Viaggio expansion violates the state Williamson Act, designed to protect agricultural land.
  • Approve plans to install two new overflow drains, reroute a gas line and apply a foam roofing system at the Lodi agricultural center at 210 N. Sacramento St. Cost estimate is $23,000.
  • Approve plans to reroof the lemur exhibit, spider monkey exhibit and Island Lost in Time at Micke Grove Zoo. Cost estimate is $42,000.
  • Appoint three people as county representatives to the county Mosquito Abatement & Vector Control District. Incumbents Mike Manna and Marc Warmerdam have applied, along with Jay Colombini of Linden.
  • Consider appointing Donald Stanley Dean to fill a vacancy on the Thornton Municipal Advisory Council and appoint two people to the Woodbridge MAC. Three people have applied for the two available seats in Woodbridge — Mary Avanti, Lee Boyer and Joseph Newfield.
  • Approve the 2013 budget for Lodi Grape Festival and National Wine Show.
  • Designate the San Joaquin Farm Bureau Federation as official representative for the county’s exhibit at the California State Fair.

When and where: 9 a.m., board chambers, 44 N. San Joaquin St., Stockton. The Viaggio public hearing will be held at 1:30 p.m.

Wednesday

Lodi Planning Commission

Key items:

  • Consider a request for a use permit from In-Shape Health Clubs to operate a fitness facility at an existing building at 1320 W. Lockeford St.
  • Consider a request from McCay Cellars for a use permit allowing for a winery Alcoholic Beverage Control license at 1370 E. Turner Road.
  • Consider a request for a tentative parcel map to divide one parcel into two at 903 W. Turner Road.

When and where: 7 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Lodi Site Plan and Architectural Review Committee

The regularly scheduled meeting has been canceled.

Galt Parks and Recreation Commission

When and where: 7 p.m., Galt City Hall City Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Thursday

Woodbridge Irrigation District Board of Directors

When and where: 9 a.m., Woodbridge Irrigation District, 18750 N. Lower Sacramento Road, Woodbridge.

Galt Planning Commission

Key item: Elect a new chairman and vice chairman.

When and where: 6:30 p.m., Galt City Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Reclamation District 348 board

Key item: Report on Mokelumne River levee operations in Thornton area by the district engineer.

When and where: 2 p.m., Croce & Co., 501 W. Weber Ave., Stockton.
