Case of inmate's death at San Joaquin County Jail goes to criminal grand jury

Deputy District Attorney Robert Himelblau took the case of Mondez Denmon's death to a criminal grand jury Monday afternoon, and used the county jail's restraining belts to show that if the belts were newer, Denmon might not have broken through them.

Denmon died Sept. 5 while in police custody and broke through the restraints numerous times that day, according to reports.
