There was no decision on the winery ordinance amendment considered by the San Joaquin County Planning Commission.
The commission met on Thursday to potentially send the ordinance to the county board of supervisors. Instead, commissioners voted to table the item until its July 19 meeting, according to Bruce Blodgett, executive director of the San Joaquin Farm Bureau.
If passed, the amendment would prevent new wineries or wine cellars from holding events, and prevent existing wineries from holding more events or opening them up for larger audiences.
