Three local teenagers who chased an alleged rape suspect from Kofu Park to Lodi Memorial Hospital were recognized at Wednesday night’s Lodi City Council meeting.

“We hear a lot of people talk negatively about the youths of the community. ... But periodically, the youths of the community step up and do what’s right,” Mayor Bob Johnson said.

i wonder if the skate park was closed if incidents like this would still occur, i really doubt it. That park should be closed.. really, it shouldn't even be a debate.

There is something a little strange about that 13 year old girl. She is going to have to come forward and accept some responsibility for all this. What in the world was she thinking going voluntarily into that bathroom with that man? If she would not have made that choice and stayed with her school friends watching them skateboard, none of this would have happened. Now, Mr Bush will have to spend a few months in jail instead of going to work to support his family. Who will now have to go on welfare.
    What a mess.

The overwhelming majority of our youth are great kids who more than periodically step up and do what is right. These young men are just a shining example of that.
