Department heads will be able to once again receive automatic pay raises on a five-step salary schedule instead of having their pay tied to an annual performance review under a change made by the Galt City Council on Tuesday.
At this time, however, no employee will receive a pay increase. In the future, individuals can be hired at any step and move through the salary range which increases by 5 percent with each step.
