Lodi Memorial Hospital received an average safety grade from a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit run by employers and other large purchasers of health benefits. The report was released Wednesday by the Leapfrog Group, after it examined records of more than 2,500 hospitals nationwide.
It found zero incidences of foreign objects left inside patients following surgery, or any air embolism cases in the period reviewed, from July 2009 to June 2011.
