Police stopped and arrested a convicted felon with a loaded gun early Tuesday morning.
Officers approached a parked car at a gas station at the corner of Lockeford and Church streets a little after midnight Tuesday, Lodi police Sgt. David Griffin said. It matched the description of a vehicle that was driven by a person who had brandished a firearm earlier that evening, he said.
Danilo Quayle, 34, was seated in the vehicle and when they searched the car, Griffin said they found a loaded handgun. Quayle is a convicted felon and was arrested for multiple felonies. Police determined Quayle was not involved in the earlier incident.
Quayle was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed firearm, carrying a loaded firearm in a public place and possessing ammunition.
