The following is a list of public meetings in the Lodi and Galt areas this week:

Tuesday

Lodi City Council shirtsleeves and special meeting

Key items:

  • Receive presentation on climate action plan.
  • Adopt a resolution approving Lodi Police Dispatchers Association Memorandum of Understanding for the period May 1, 2012 through Dec. 31, 2013.
  • Receive presentation on climate action plan.
  • Adopt resolution approving CalPERS employer paid member contributions.
  • Receive presentation on climate action plan.

When and where: 7 a.m. Tuesday, 305 W. Pine Street Lodi.

Galt City Council

Key items:

  • Vote on whether to accept an appeal regarding the proposed materials recovery and recycling facility.
  • Officially adopt ordinances related to City Council health benefits and social host liability.
  • Accept a staff report regarding the need for indoor parks and recreation programs.
  • Hold three public hearings related to an increase in assessments for property owners within three lighting and landscaping districts.
  • Discuss in closed session the appointment of a new public works director.
  • Make appointments to City Council commissions and committees.

When and where: 7 p.m., City Hall City Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors

Key items:

  • Discuss Measure A term limits and possibly give direction to staff.

When and where: 9 a.m., San Joaquin County Administration Building, 6th Floor, 44 N. San Joaquin Street, Stockton.

Wednesday

Lodi City Council

The regularly scheduled meeting is canceled.

San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District brown bag and regular meeting

Key items:

  • Discussion and possible action on position of opposition to the Draft Bay Delta Conservation plan proposal to construct a major isolated water conveyance system in the Delta.
  • Update on flood management and SJAFCA activities.
  • Update on Delta Counties Coalition, Delta Coalition Mayor’s Initiative, BDCP, Delta Stewardship Conservancy and Protection Commission activities.

When and where: 11:30 a.m., 1601 E. Hazelton Avenue, Stockton.

Thursday

Galt Beautification Committee

When and where: 3:30 p.m., City Hall community room, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.
