Vienna Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is planning a community open house this Thursday to showcase their newly-completed expansion. The Lodi Chamber of Commerce will be holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and refreshments, tours and demonstrations will be provided.

The new Vienna facility features a 3,000-square-foot therapy center, creating "the Lodi region's largest and most modern center for physical, occupational and speech therapy," according to a news release.

Vienna employs nearly a dozen licensed therapists to assist patients through a variety of rehabilitation programs, such as those necessary after a hip and knee replacement surgery or following a stroke, according to the news release.

The new expansion is triple the size of Vienna's previous facility and offers three private treatment rooms. Vienna residents will also have access to audiology and dental check-ups in private examination rooms as well.

Outside, Vienna has also created a "unique garden-like texture path" that will allow patients access to a wide variety of surfaces such as grass, river rock, stepping stones, and a small bridge in order to assist them during their therapy and increase mobility.

The open house will start at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at 800 S. Ham Lane.

Vienna's facility is open six days per week for inpatient therapy, and five days per week for outpatient services.
