Project Lodi Art needs volunteers to help install a mosaic mural at Van Buskirk Park on Saturday.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., volunteers will help place the panels on a seating wall at the park, which is at the corner of Daisy Avenue and Pleasant Street. The Lodi Tokay Rotary Club will provide food, drinks and music.
The 43-feet-long by 3-feet-high mural depicts skateboarders riding a yellow, red and orange wave.
Joanie Selman-Prince, a local artist, designed and painted the mosaic that is titled "The Wave."
This is the second big mosaic art piece Project Lodi Art has put together. Last year, about 200 volunteers worked on 24 mosaics that were embedded in the sidewalks of Lodi Avenue.
