Unseasonably warm weather has Lodians wearing sleeveless shirts when they would normally be pulling sweaters from their closets.
Local temperature monitors recorded no new records as a result of the high temps Tuesday, but they did match a few sweltering records.
Lodi reached 99 degrees, matching the record set in 1952.
Stockton reached 101 degrees, tying the record set in 1980. That’s the third time since 1948 that Stockton has read in the triple digits in October, according to Mike Pigott, a forecaster with Accuweather.com, a private weather forecasting service.
The average temperature for Lodi for Oct. 2 is a high of 84 degrees, dropping to 52 degrees overnight.
