You know dave, over the last fifty or so years, AMAZING
advancements have been achieved in the field of spray
paint as well as stencil technology.
Perhaps you can contact "Banksy", Shepard Fairey or
any number of the local street/graffiti artists to ease
your mind and solve your plight....

It would be interesting to know what is done in Modesto by MID, where most of the electric utlities are underground, and the transformer vaults are square grids flush with the ground. A city 5 times the size of Lodi, where I still have a house. I have asked them many times how they keep them from filling with water, and they say they manage it well. To my knowledge, they have not replaced anything with above ground, and claim a very high reliability rating. Or are those underground vaults making the rates rise? Anyone up here know someone at MID to ask? Does not above-ground boxes sort of diminish the visual appreciation of underground utilites? Is cable next?

If you sealed the box who would anyone ever open it to service it? The needs of many outweigh the desires of a few. Suck it up.
