Come join Mason Fluty and his family for a barbecue fundraiser in Galt on April 19.

Tickets for Mason's Texas Roadhouse dinner cost $15 per person and can be purchased at www.masonfluty.com. The deadline to purchase tickets is April 9. There will be no tickets available for purchase at the event.

The fundraiser will take place in the city of Galt parking lot at 380 Civic Center Drive from 4:30 to 7 p.m. For more information, contact Casey Freitas at 775-720-1013 or Donna Settles at 209-810-4723.

Fluty suffers from Apert syndrome, which prematurely fuses bones together in the body. It is a rare disorder, and Fluty, who is only 8 months old, has already had multiple invasive surgeries to help his bones grow.

The fundraisers help pay for those surgeries, which include cranial reconstruction surgeries and the separation of Fluty's 10 fingers and 10 toes, which are currently fused together.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
