Lodi Police Department
In the 48 hours since 9 a.m. Monday, the Lodi Police Department handled 309 calls for service. The following is a sample of calls received by dispatchers:
9:50 a.m.: A company truck with fuel tanks on the back was stolen in the 600 block of Tahoe Drive.
11:01 a.m.: A man and woman, one carrying a duffel bag, were going door to door in the 700 block of West Vine Street. At least one of them was arrested on a local warrant.
11:51 a.m.: A Sylvan Way resident thought someone was putting tranquilizers in her food.
1:48 p.m.: A boat was stolen at Wimbledon Square Apartments, 602 Wimbledon Drive.
2:28 p.m.: A drunken homeless man was following another man at Longs Drugs, 100 W. Lodi Ave.
4:19 p.m.: About 15 people were physically fighting behind Save Mart Foods, 1340 S. Hutchins St.
9:07 p.m.: An aggressive Rottweiler was loose in the 900 block of South Lee Avenue, so a female was afraid to get out of her car.
10:12 p.m.: A large group of people was fighting and one person had a knife in the 900 block of Wellswood Avenue.
3:35 a.m.: A homeless person had a small fire going while sitting on a bench at Walnut and School streets.
8:21 a.m.: Someone stole a 1987 red Chevrolet Camaro during the night at Golden Oaks Village, 1210 W. Century Blvd.
9:28 a.m.: Guns, valued at more than $400, were apparently stolen from a home on Orchis Court.
9:56 a.m.: A juvenile called police after a man showed up at his South Ham Lane house, identified himself as an FBI agent and asked if his parents were home. Officers confirmed that he was a plainclothes agent doing a background check.
2:09 p.m.: Juveniles were vandalizing fences at Tokay High School, 1111 W. Century Blvd.
3:07 p.m.: An Olive Court woman reportedly stabbed herself with a meat cleaver, but it was later determined to be a fork.
3:45 p.m.: A drunken driver came to a stop on a lawn in the 700 block of South Lee Avenue.
4:07 p.m.: A homeless man was talking to himself as he stole oranges off trees in the alley off the 100 block of East Lockeford Street.
4:11 p.m.: A 44-year-old drunken man was throwing bottles out of his apartment in the 500 block of East Elm Street.
4:39 p.m.: Though he was on probation, a South Washington Street resident had a sawed-off shotgun and shells.
5:12 p.m.: Two drunk females and a male, all juveniles, were sitting on the ground in the 1100 block of South Crescent Avenue.
6:09 p.m.: Injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision at Lodi and Fairmont avenues.
6:50 p.m.: A male was waving a gun in the back seat of a silver Nissan at Walgreen's, 75 N. Ham Lane.
9:38 p.m.: A panhandler had a visible knife at Food-4-Less, 2430 W. Kettleman Lane. He left in a Honda Accord.
10:41 p.m.: After stealing a 20-pack of beer from Raley's, 311 S. Lower Sacramento Road, the suspect left in a gray vehicle with "fancy rims."
11:05 p.m.: A bald man ran into Flame Mini Market, 1301 W. Kettleman Lane, saying he was hiding from police because he was wanted and that a patrol car had just driven past. He then bicycled south on Ham Lane.
12:38 a.m.: A naked man was running around near Hollywood Cafe, 315 S. Cherokee Lane, but he had vanished by the time police arrived.
9:39 a.m.: A student took 15 ibuprofen tablets and drank perfume at Tokay High School, 1111 W. Century Blvd.
