An 18-year-old man who deputies say is a documented gang member was arrested early Friday morning at a Morada residence.

Sergio Jesus Munos was arrested after sheriff's deputies heard a report of reported gunfire in the 4800 block of East Ashley Lane. Upon arrival, deputies noticed that a front window was broken out, according to a sheriff's report. Munos was found hiding in the attic, which he entered through a closet crawl space in the downstairs hallway.

Joe- don't forget the Asian gangs. And in the Citrus Heights area of Sacramento the Russian gangs are everywhere.

Doug- glad to hear that your grandson is still a straight arrow. Perhaps you should move to NM to make sure he stays on the college path.

Mr. Chaney, I am also happy that your grandson hasn't caved in to the pressure to fall into a gang and ruin his life. Sounds like he has a sound sense of self pride and family.

Mr. Chaney, I have friends that are LEGAL mexican/latino citizens and even THEY despise latino gang members. That being said, you still can't deny the overwhelming majority of American gang punks are of latino descent. Based on population ratios, the percentage of violent gangs being latino is off the charts.

I'd expect a comment like that from you, Mr. Baxter. My wife's side of the family is all Mexican and our grandson, also a Mexican, is already being scouted by college recruiters in Albuquerque NM, where he lives, and he's only a freshman in high school. Many of his schoolmates are gang members or wannabes, both male and female and about half of them are white. Why do you equate Latinos with law breaking and gangbanging? Your ignorance of the fact that there are many white racist gang members right here in livable, lovable Lodi seems to be the simplistic thinking pattern of many Lodians, young and old, characteristically caucasian and WASP's.

A latino gang member breaking the law? How odd is that?
