Galt is getting closer to being able to revamp its law enforcement gun range, which provides a steady source of revenue for the city.
The city is negotiating a long-term contract with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation guaranteeing that the city will receive about $70,000 a year in revenue for the next three years, City Manager Jason Behrmann said. The contract will also have a "soft" deal to continue that contract for another two years.
