A man was stabbed at a late-night party, but police have no leads yet about the suspect, according to Lt. Chris Jacobson.

Lodi Police responded to a report of a fight on the 500 block of North School St. just after midnight on Friday.

Four people crashed a party and refused to leave, according to reports from witnesses. Some took offense at comments made by party-goers and a fight broke out. One of the party crashers pulled out a knife and stabbed a victim three times in the torso, witnesses said. Others who tried to restrain the suspect received minor cuts to their hands, according to police.

All four suspects fled the party before police arrived. Witnesses report hearing several gunshots fired into the air as they left.

The victim was taken to Lodi Memorial Hospital for his injuries, and was released.

Police are still investigating the incident, said Jacobson.
