Lodi’s Russ Munson, Ripon’s Chuck Winn to face off in November for San Joaquin County supervisor

Lodi business owner Russ Munson will face off against Chuck Winn, vice mayor of Ripon, in November to decide who will represent District 4 on the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors.

With all 106 precincts reporting, unofficial results updated at 11:45 a.m. Friday, June 13, show Munson received 10,081 votes (46.48 percent), while Winn collected 8,198 votes (37.79 percent). The third candidate for the seat, Manuel Lopez, received 3,369 votes (15.53 percent). There were 43 write-in votes.

    OF COURSE the LNS has this highlighted with an "Editors Pick" label. Munson's Wine & Roses spends money on print & online advertising.

    I honestly hope Munson wins this seat. What I don't need come late October and early November are the multiple calls from various community leaders about what a great guy Russ is and why I should vote for him. I lost count at five different people, some of those damn automated calls came 2 and 3 times from the same person.
