Lodi police officers arrested two DUI drivers and two people with outstanding warrants, cited 18 more and had 9 vehicles towed during Friday night's DUI/driver's license checkpoint and saturation patrols in the 1000 block of S. Cherokee Lane, according to Lt. Chris Jacobson.
At the checkpoint, officers arrested one for an outstanding warrant.
The other three arrests were away from the checkpoint location during saturation patrols. Two were arrested for DUIs and one was arrested for an outstanding warrant, Jacobson said.
Officers screened 593 vehicles and conducted 1 field sobriety test. Fifteen unlicensed and suspended drivers were ordered to court, Jacobson said.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
