    Interesting comments:

"Previous administrations were bad and damaging to the district."

Quite the statement about previous administrations! I am sure all the former board members were happy to read his blanket condemnation about their conduct.

"We still have flexibility in our budget, but we’re hoping to carry it through with categorical funding."

Really? I'm sure that Mr. Heberle is well aware that categorical funding is NOT to be used as if it were funds for just about any old thing. Wonder how they manage that one when the audits come around.

After reading Mr Heberle's comments, I have less hope of change for the better. His primary focus seems to be on superficial and less important issues than what should be. When he stated...
" “School is your ticket, school is important, it’s going to provide you with your future,” and they’re going, “Yeah, what a bunch of hypocrites, I don’t even have a desk to sit in.”They get it. They understand it. We don’t want to be hypocritical .... "it shows his odd priority. He is more concerned with material things that the education of the children.

If I had a teacher who was interesting, had something of value to teach and made learning fun, I would be happy sitting on a pad in yoga position and care less if I had a desk or not. The building and equipment is irrelevant...

Education is where it is at... I agree...however, the information and knowledge given to the students is the main thing... I would not want to be a student who years later finds himself unemployed and living on the streets saying... boy ...I had a great desk back then.. but no smarts to earn a good living.
