Chris Thompson, the ceramic artist behind the 1,000 Bowls to Feed the Hungry project, will be returning to McKinleys Frame Shop tomorrow during the First Friday Art Hop.
Thompson created 1,000 ceramic bowls and is donating the proceeds to programs that feed the hungry in the Sacramento area.
McKinleys Frame Shop owner Julie McKinley showcased the bowls in her shop during July. But in August, the proceeds from the remaining bowls will go to Lodi’s Sacramento Street Outreach, as well as Meals on Wheels and Senior Gleaners.
Thompson will be at the shop to sign bowls and share his inspiration. McKinleys Frame Shop will provide appetizers and Woodbridge Winery wines.
The First Friday Art Hop runs from 6 to 9 p.m. The frame shop is located at 11 W. Pine St. in Lodi.
