The California Department of Transportation will restrict lanes and ramps on Interstate 5 from El Dorado Street to March Lane for k-rail installation and construction work:

  • The southbound on-ramp on I-5 from El Dorado Street will close from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.
  • The northbound and southbound connector ramps from I-5 to Highway 4/ Crosstown Freeway closed Monday and will remain closed through Saturday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • The northbound and southbound on- and off-ramps on I-5 from Charter Way to March Lane will alternately close from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. until Saturday.
  • The left and right shoulders, median, auxiliary, and three lanes on southbound I-5 from Charter Way to Country Club Boulevard will alternately close from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. until Saturday.

In addition, Caltrans will restrict lanes and ramps on Highway 99 from Arch Road to Highway 4 West/Crosstown Freeway for highway construction. No two consecutive ramps will close at the same time.

The northbound on- and off-ramps from Mariposa Road to Highway 99 will close beginning today through Friday from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.

The southbound on- and off-ramps from Highway 4 East/Farmington Road to Highway 99 will close beginning today through Friday from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

The left and right lanes on northbound and southbound Highway 99 from Arch Road to Highway 4 West/Crosstown Freeway will alternately close through Friday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists should expect 10-minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.
