Stand-up comedy comes to Wine & Roses

Wine & Roses is debuting its first comedy show tonight, featuring three comedians, including Lodi comedian Kevin Young.

Young has opened for Robin Williams and performed in front of a crowd of 1,500 people at the Mount Bleu Casino in Lake Tahoe.

The headliner for tonight’s show is Del Van Dyke, a native of Marin County, who began performing when the comedy circuit was heating up in the ‘80s. He has appeared on ABC’s “Comics Unleashed,” opened for The Pointer Sisters and The Neville Brothers, and entertained the troops overseas.

The host of the show is Bob Johnston, who has been called “The Only Redneck in the Bay Area.” Johnston has opened for Richard Lewis.

The comedy show is in the Wine & Roses Garden Ballroom and starts at 8 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the show are $25 per person (inclusive of tax). Tickets for dinner and the show are $45 per person (inclusive of tax): Includes a three-course dinner. A no-host bar will be available throughout the night.
