Lodi police arrested a parolee-at-large after they said a Lodi resident caught the man burglarizing a home on videotape.

Daniel Scott Brown, 29, was seen burglarizing a home on the 1600 block of Lake Street on Friday afternoon, police said.

According to police, a witness with a video camera followed Brown as he left a victimized residence, carrying electronics. While the resident videotaped Brown, he updated Lodi police of Brown's location.

Brown was located with the stolen property and arrested, police said.

"It's a nice example of working with our community to locate and capture these burglars and criminals," the Lodi Police Department's Facebook page read.

Brown faces charges of burglary and receiving known stolen property.
