Two bills authored by Assemblywoman Alyson Huber (D-El Dorado Hills) were singed into law Friday. AB 1659 and AB 2130 enables a procedure that conducts regular reviews of state commissions, boards, departments and agencies. The legislation states agencies that can't demonstrate they are being efficient will automatically be cut.
The California Taxpayers Association, California Grocers Association and the California Forestry Association were some groups that supported Huber's bills.
