The driver of a semi-truck involved in Thursday morning's accident that stalled traffic for hours on southbound Highway 99 has died, according to California Highway Patrol.
The driver, a 42-year-old man from Tracy, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at Lodi Memorial Hospital on Thursday. His name has not been released.
The driver of the other vehicle, 23-year-old Chante Griffin, of Stockton, suffered only minor injuries.
Drugs and alcohol were not suspected as a cause for the crash, according to authorities.
