Assemblywoman Alyson Huber, D-El Dorado Hills, introduced a bill today that would require all elected and appointed public officials throughout all levels of state government to make their salaries publicly available on their websites.
The public outrage over inflated salaries being paid to some city employees in the Southern California city of Bell was a driving force behind the bill, according to a press release issued by Huber.

The article says that Jack Sieglock claims he will support a bill prohibiting legislators from drawing pay before the budget is balanced.
I am willing to bet that will be among the first hundred campaign promises he breaks.

I didn't vote for Ms. Huber. I'm a Republican. However, I must say, she's at least trying to represent the people of her district. I can't say the same for congressman McNerney, who only represents the will of Nancy Pelosi.
Ms. Huber might just get my vote, however.
