Woodbridge man dies in single car accident

A Woodbridge man was killed in a crash on Woodbridge Road on Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The man, 52, was driving eastbound in a Ford pickup on west Woodbridge Road at what witnesses called a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the truck, crossed into the westbound lane and landed in the dirt running alongside a vineyard. Officers say the truck rolled over several times and came to rest across both lanes of the road. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle, which was severely damaged, the CHP said.
