Several outages caused by equipment failures and a wayward bird left some Lodi residents without power at various times from Thursday through Monday.
On Thursday, a piece of equipment in a transformer fell apart and a section of underground cable failed near Sunwest Drive and Laver Court. The city replaced the transformer immediately and fixed the cable on Sunday.
On Sunday, there was a power outage affecting 1,444 customers from Kettleman Lane, to Cherokee Lane, to Harney Lane and the railroad tracks. The power was out from about 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. because of a failed elbow connector.
The final outage happened on Monday from about 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. when a bird ended up shorting out power in the 1900 block of Edgewood Drive. That outage affected 115 customers.
