A bartender at California Street Pub was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of selling hydrocodone — similar to Vicodin — and possessing marijuana at the bar, according to Lodi police.

Joseph Parrish, 29, of Lodi, was arrested on suspicion of possessing and transporting a controlled substance for sale, selling prescription pills without a prescription and possessing a deadly weapon, police Sgt. Sierra Brucia said.

Parrish had more than an ounce of marijuana and almost $800 cash from his non-bartending sales, Brucia said.

Having stopped in for a beer one Saturday night about a month after this place was renamed & renovated I am not surprised by this arrest.

Bill Cronin is rolling over in his grave. Worst thing that ever happened when it was The Barking Dog was kids getting served underage or all the old timers smoking after the city ban.
