The following is a list of public meetings in the Lodi and Galt areas this week:

Today

Lodi Animal Advisory Committee

Key items:

— Receive information on additional funding for the spay and neuter program coming from Community Development Block Grant funds.

— Receive update on animal shelter statistics, shelter improvements and the shelter disaster preparedness plan.

When and where: 6 p.m., Lodi Police Department, Community Room, 215 W. Elm St., Lodi.

Galt Joint Union High School District board

Key items:

— Consider a resolution to deny Nueva Vision Academy charter school.

— Vote on a series of proposed budget reductions.

— Approve curriculum for "Space Planets Astronomy Cosmology Exploration" and "English 9 Honors/Pre-AP" courses.

— Presentation by Patricia St. James on the Galt Youth Master Plan.

When and where: 6:30 p.m., Galt City Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive.

Lodi Budget and Finance Committee

Key items:

— Receive the monthly Energy Cost Adjustment.

— Discuss the pension subcommittee.

When and where: 6 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission

Key items:

— Receive updates on Teen of the Month, family life meeting, Teen Lead, LYC Advisers, school board, scholarships, Facebook/Twitter, spring careers conference, Spring Fling, Valentine's dance, festival security, dance contract and host responsibility liability report.

Lodi Library Board of Trustees

Key items:

— Receive updates on library renovation.

Lodi City Council shirtsleeve

Key item:

— Presentation on the California high-speed and regional rail program.

When and where: 7 a.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Lodi Improvement Committee

Key items:

— Discuss Main Street project, spring clean up activities and Tree Lodi.

San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors

Key items:

— Appointments to the Agricultural Advisory Board, Building Board of Appeals, Civil Service Commission, San Joaquin Regional Transit

District, In-Home supportive Services Advisory Committee and Equal Employment Opportunity Advisory Committee.

— Sell .07-acre parcel on the western Highway 99 frontage road south of Woodbridge Road to Bill and Jimmie Cook for$6,300.

Wednesday

Galt Parks and Recreation Commission

When and where: 7 p.m., City Hall, council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Lodi Arts Commission

Key items:

— Discuss wineries participating in the art hop.

— Receive updates on Project Lodi Art, the Art Advisory Board, Art Hop, Artisan Masters, Art on the Square and the taco truck cookoff.

Lodi Planning Commission

Key items:

— Approve request for a use permit to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages and approve the Site Plan and Architectural Review Committee application for Costco.

— Approve the environmental reports, site plan and architecture for an affordable senior housing development at 2245 Tienda Drive.

When and where: 7 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Galt.

Lodi Site Plan and Architectural Review Committee

The regularly scheduled meeting is canceled.

Woodbridge Irrigation District board

Lockeford Community Services District board

When and where: 9 a.m., old Lockeford schoolhouse, 19456 N. Jack Tone Road, Lockeford.

Reclamation District 348 board

Key items:

— Update of Mokelumne River levee rehabilitation project from Interstate 5 west to Wimpy's Marina.

— Consider proposal by SCI Consulting Group to provide engineering and prepare report for the 2010-11 fiscal year.

Thornton Rural Fire District board

Liberty Rural Fire District board
