A parolee-at-large faces numerous charges after he led authorities on an extensive chase throughout Lodi late Saturday, police said.

Steven Todd Miller, 28, was seen in the stolen vehicle in the Raley’s parking lot around 10:30 p.m Saturday, according to Sgt. Sierra Brucia of the Lodi Police Department.

Police stated in a press release on their Facebook page that Miller was considered armed. He was also classified as a parolee-at-large.

Miller was pursued throughout Lodi, according to Brucia. Miller was chased out to Sargent Road and then through the vineyards, Brucia said, before he turned and came out on to Highway 12.

Miller then traveled down through Lodi and turned onto Lower Sacramento Road where he eventually discarded the car on Vintage Oaks Court, Brucia added.

The suspect then fled on foot, and he ended up hiding inside an attic of a residence near Pinkerton Way in Lodi, Brucia said. Lodi police and San Joaquin County Sheriff's deputies set up a perimeter, and were finally able to get Miller out of the attic and arrest him.

California Highway Patrol officers were also involved in the chase.

Miller was booked at the Lodi jail. He faces charges including vehicle theft, obstructing police officers and violating his parole, among other charges.

He is currently still in custody.
