On Monday, the Lodi Police Department released an abundance of information related to the death of Parminder Singh Shergill, including audio of a 911 call and photos of the knife officers said Shergill was carrying before officers fired more than a dozen rounds, killing the Gulf War veteran on Jan. 25.
Shergill’s sister-in-law, Kuldeep Shergill, who called 911 at 9:06 a.m., told the dispatcher that Parminder Shergill was schizophrenic, off his medication and assaulting his mother inside their Lodi home on Elderica Way.
