Two 19-year-old brothers were injured in a drive-by shooting late Saturday night on Lodi’s Eastside, according to Lodi police.

Christian and Joseph Hernandez were standing standing in their front yard at about 11 p.m. when a passenger in the back of a passing mini-van fired with bird shot at the two men in a yard in the 300 block of Cypress Street, police Sgt. David Griffin said.

The Hernandez brothers, both identified by police as documented gang members, were taken to Kaiser Hospital in South Sacramento for what Griffin described as non-life-threatening injuries. Christian Hernandez was shot in the face and chest, while his brother was shot in the back, Griffin said.

The mini-van, described as either gray or gold, was believed to be last seen heading north on South Washington Street.
