For Russ Faught, The Fisherman’s Friend wasn’t just a bait and tackle shop.

It was his dream store, where he could teach people of all ages how to fish in places as close as Lodi Lake and as far away as Flaming Gorge, Wyo.

We were so saddened by the news of one of the Greatest Men, we came in contact with while we were the managers at Sweet Dreams Inn, in Green River, Wyoming. Russ was our most FAVORITE customer! We looked forward to the times when he would come and stay with us and bring his sons and friends! Russ was there when I brought my twin daughters home from the hospital, and when my son took off on his mini bullet bike for the first time! He was like family to us, and we are so very grateful that he came into our lives!! He will for sure be missed!

Sad news. Russ sold me my real reel way back in the 80s. He will be missed!

Mike and Terry, I so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. It's good to hear you will be carrying on his legacy.
