"I felt proud, very glad I was given this opportunity," said Paramveer Mehrok, a Tokay High freshman who brought food and blankets. "You should always be thankful for what you have, because other people may not have what you have. That's what Christmas is all about."

Respectfully, Mr. Mehrok, that is NOT what Christmas is all about. Christmas is the celebration of the Birth of the One foretold of old. The Messiah. The Saviour, The Christ. Please don't make statements about another's faith unless you know what you are talking about. Perhaps Mr. Mehrok sould attend an "Awareness and Appreciation" seminar on Christianity.

During Friday's visit, Singh said he wasn't sure if the people eating Christmas Eve dinner at the Salvation Army would like the food they brought, since they're used to American fare..

I think if you are kind enough to think of others and be giving to those who need help, the results are not as important as the act itself... so thank you very much for caring and taking action to do something about it. Singh must be a good person to know. Lodi is blessed to have people here like that.
