- Lodi Zombie Walk at a glance
-
“Thriller” dance: 7 p.m. Saturday near the post office parking lot, 120 S. School St. near Oak Street.
Zombie walk: Shortly after 7 p.m. From Oak Street, the walk heads north on School Street, east through an alley between Elm and Locust streets, south on Sacramento Street, west on Lodi Avenue and north on School Street to Oak Street.
Want to look like a zombie?: Volunteers will apply some theater-quality horror effects make-up. Organizers are asking people to show up by 6:30 p.m. The exact location of School Street hasn’t been set; you can get your face made up at The Vintage, 117 N. Sacramento St., or at Abundance Vineyards, 1150 W. Turner Road. It’s free of charge, but donations are welcome. You can buy your own make-up as well at local stores.
What to do after the zombie walk: Go to the Zombie Pub Crawl at participating watering holes in Downtown Lodi; go to the burlesque show at The Vintage.
Want to join burlesque contest?: It’s not intended to be risqué. If you want to participate, send email to zombieclubemail@gmail.com and give your name, phone number and the song of which you want to perform.
Want a more kid-friendly locale: Try Abundance Winery, 1150 W. Turner Road, Lodi, from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Live music, food, costume contests.
How much does it cost?: $10 at Abundance, or $5 for wine club members. Zombie Club wrist bands will be sold at the Downtown walk for $5. An extra 45 cents will be charged if purchased on Paypal. The wrist band will provide discounts at restaurants, bars and a costume shop. If you pay by Paypal, bring a printout of your Paypal receipt. A portion of the proceeds will go to local charities.

For the third year, people dressed in their absolute ugliest will dance to the Michael Jackson classic, “Thriller,” adjacent to the Lodi post office Saturday night and walk the streets of Downtown Lodi.
And for the second consecutive year, the Lodi Zombie Walk will feature a post-walk Zombie Pub Crawl and a burlesque show. The pub crawl involves special zombie drinks at Downtown watering holes.
