Lodi police arrested four people after responding to reports of a fight where handguns were brandished on Wednesday night, authorities said.

Officers responded to a home on the 700 block of McCoy Court around 9 p.m., after a fight involving up to eight people was reported to police. When officers arrived, they spotted a car preparing to leave the scene, Lodi Police Lt. David Griffin said.

Officers said that individuals inside the vehicle became involved in a fight while helping a woman move out of her home, where she said she’d been the victim of domestic violence, Griffin said.

While searching the vehicle, officers said they found two handguns and drugs.

Bernardo Cabrera, 21, of Stockton, was arrested on felony weapons and drug charges. Elajajuan Hunter, 20, of Stockton, was arrested on felony weapons charges.

While police were attending to the vehicle, witnesses told officers that an assault was taking place inside the residence of the woman who was moving out, Griffin said.

Officers arrested Brett Blundell, 27, of Lodi, on suspicion of battery and possessing a controlled substance. Angela Walrath, 19, of Lodi, was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

Walrath has since been released from custody.

Hunter, Cabrera and Blundell are being held in San Joaquin County Jail.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
