Richard Welker, who is accused of killing a man in Lodi last week, was arraigned on several charges including voluntary manslaughter on Monday.
Welker, 33, is in San Joaquin County Jail on $260,000 bail after being arrested by Lodi police in connection with the shooting death of Arlie Druen, 33, around 7:45 p.m. on May 14 in the 700 block of South Central Avenue.
Druen died in Lodi Memorial Hospital of multiple gunshot wounds. Police are still trying to determine whether the shooting was accidental or intended.
Welker, who appeared in San Joaquin County Superior Court, also faces charges of felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
