The following is a list of public meetings in the Lodi and Galt areas this week:


Lodi Animal Advisory Commission

The regularly scheduled meeting is canceled.

Lodi Library Board of Trustees

Key items:

— Approve the same modifications to the library services director contract and statement of benefits as those adopted by the city council for executive management.

— Adopt the 2010 to 2014 strategic plan and the 2010 to 2011 operating plan.

When and where: 5:30 p.m., Lodi Public Library, 201 W. Locust Street, Lodi.

Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission

The regularly scheduled meeting is canceled.


Lodi City Council shirtsleeve

Key item:

— Receive an update on the status of the discharge permit for White Slough wastewater treatment plant.

When and where: 7 a.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Lodi Unified School District board of trustees special meeting

Key item:

— Provisional board appointment to replace trustee Harvey Bills, Sr.

When and where: 5 p.m., James Areida Education Support Center, 1305 E. Vine St.

Lodi Unified School District board of trustees regular meeting

Key items:

— Approval of the district's $234 million operating budget for 2010-11..

— Public hearing regarding a waiver request to the state Department of Education relating to average number of students enrolled per full-time teacher.

— Altering salary reductions for confidential employees. Beginning with the 2010-2011 school year, rather than the combined reduction of seven furlough days and 2 percent on the salary schedule, the board imposed a reduction of 12 furlough days for confidential employees.

— Board policy relating to English language-learner authorization requirements, per the request of trustee Bonnie Cassel.

When and where: 7 p.m., James Areida Education Support Center, 1305 E. Vine St.

Galt Joint Union Elementary School District board of trustees special meeting

Key items:

— Further compensation reductions for administrators, supervisors, confidential employees, other underrepresented employees and the school board.

— Study session on district's goals for 2010-11.

When and where: 7 p.m., Lake Canyon Elementary School, 800 Lake Canyon Ave., Galt.

San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors

Key items:

— Conduct a public hearing and consider approval of the $4.5 million in-home supportive services budget for the 2010-11 fiscal year.

— Consider revising its memorandums of understanding with the correctional officers, probation officers and non-management sheriff's employees to reflect employee concessions in an effort to save jobs.

— Approve 19 agreements for the First 5 Children and Families Commission for the 2010-11 fiscal year.

When and where: 9 a.m., county administration building, 44 N. San Joaquin St., Stockton.


Lodi City Council

Key items:

— Receive a report on removing benches in response to Elm Street merchants' concerns about student and homeless loitering.

— Approve contracts a variety of services for fiscal year 2010-2011, which starts July 1.

When and where: 7 p.m., Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

San Joaquin County Advisory Water Commission

Key items:

— Discuss the aftermath of Measure C., which would have allowed the North San Joaquin Water Conservation District to continue assessing a groundwater charge. Voters defeated the measure last week.

— Water forecast and statewide drought status.

— Presentation by the city of Modesto on the North Valley Regional Recycled Water Project.

— Flood management.

— Update on five-Delta county coalition and the proposed peripheral canal.

When and where: 1 p.m., county Planning/Public Health conference room 1601 E. Hazelton Ave., Stockton. "Brown Bag" luncheon meeting with most of the same topics at 11:30 a.m. Brown bag also includes a draft environmental impact report for the Delta Wetlands project and a global warming debate at Oxford Union.

Woodbridge Rural Fire District board

When and where: 3 p.m., fire station, 400 E. Augusta St., Woodbridge.


Highway 12 Association

Key item:

— Discover the Delta Foundation representatives will discuss how traffic flow will be controlled at the Delta Information Center, which is under construction at Highways 12 and 160, just east of the Rio Vista Bridge.

When and where: Noon, The Point restaurant, 120 Marina Drive, Rio Vista.

Lodi Senior Citizens Commission

Key items:

— Receive reports on the San Joaquin County Commission on Aging, senior housing and senior nutrition.

When and where: 8 a.m., Hutchins Street Square, Senior Center, 125 S. Hutchins Street, Lodi.
