City of Lodi to consider Southern California energy source
The Astoria 2 project in Kern County, from which Lodi hopes to purchase power, will closely resemble the Rosamond 1 and 2 solar projects, located in Rosamond, also in Kern County, developed by San Francisco-based Recurrent Energy.

The city of Lodi may look to a Southern California solar energy project to help meet energy efficiency requirements set forth by the state.
At Tuesday’s shirtsleeve session of the Lodi City Council, Lodi Electric Utility Director Liz Kirkley proposed that the city participate with the Southern California Public Power Authority in the Astoria 2 solar plant project.
