The second annual Challenge Failure Race for Heart Failure Research will be held on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. to noon at Scientific Specialties, 1310 Thurman St., Lodi.
The Challenge Failure event was established by Robin Boriack, whose late husband Marc suffered from heart failure for many years and died in 2010. The annual event is held to raise awareness and funds for heart failure research at the San Francisco Veteran's Affairs Medical Center.
