A Stockton man with a warrant out in Lodi led officers on a five-minute vehicle pursuit before being arrested Wednesday in southwest Stockton, police said.
Frederick Gonzalez Jr., 27, refused to pull over after Stockton Police discovered his felony warrant for domestic violence, child abuse and terrorist threats, which was issued by the Lodi Police Department, according to Officer Joseph Silva, Stockton Police Department spokesman.
Police followed Gonzalez before he stopped near the intersection of Flat Boat Street and Zeally Lane in Stockton and tried to escape on foot, Silva said.
But his dash didn't last long.
Police quickly apprehended Gonzalez without incident as he ran toward a house close to where the pursuit began. Police also searched Gonzalez's vehicle and found a loaded firearm, Silva said.
Gonzalez was arrested on pursuit and weapons charges, in addition to his outstanding warrants.
Gonzalez is currently lodged in San Joaquin County Jail on $738,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in San Joaquin County Superior Court on Friday.
