Lodi makes progress on water meter installation
The city of Lodi has completed three phases of its seven-phase water meter installation program, and expects to begin the fourth in April.
- Completed phases of water meter project
First phase: The first phase of the project was completed in 2011, and included the installation of 3,698 residential meters in two southern areas of town, as well as the ParkWest and SunWest neighborhoods.
Second phase: The second phase was completed in 2012 and included the installation of 2,111 residential meters in the area north of Holly and Lockeford streets to the river between Highway 99, Ham Lane and Edgewood Drive.
Third phase: The third phase was completed in 2013, and included the installation of 1,465 residential meters between Ham Lane and Lower Sacramento Road, and from Elm Street to the northern city limits.

The city of Lodi is in the middle of a water meter installation project approved in 2010, and is on track to complete it well before a 2025 deadline set by former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The project is scheduled to take place in seven phases, with one phase undertaken and completed each year through 2017.
