Piper is a recently rescued terrier/Chihuahua mix who is approximately 2 years old. He weighs only 6 pounds and needs to gain some weight, and he was poorly taken care of and has hair loss from poor nutrition and lack of flea control. He is neutered, has a microchip and his vaccinations are current. Piper has been cleaned up and is on a good diet so he will soon be in good shape.
Piper is very sweet, affectionate, loves to ride in the car and is well behaved in public. He is not a hyper dog, and is quiet and calm in the house. He loves to cuddle but is just as happy snuggled up in his dog bed by your feet. Piper doesn’t seem to be a barker, and will get on the furniture if you let him. He is currently in potty training and so far has had no accidents. The foster mom does let him out frequently, though. He is sleeping in a crate at night. He is also in leash training.
Piper loves other dogs and people, but it is not certain about children. He loves to go out to sun bathe but doesn’t want to be outside alone. AFC believes he would be fine with another dogs as long as it has a sweet nature. He will make a great little companion.
