Lodi city manager, League of California Cities representatives tackle CalPERS problems

Lodi City Manager Steve Schwabauer teamed up with the League of California Cities lobbyist Dane Hutchings to break down the state’s pension crisis during the league’s quarterly board meeting held Friday morning in the Wine and Roses Ballroom.

“The politics of pensions is not what drives my concern, the dollars, the numbers, the math drive my concern,” Schwabauer said. “I understand and I share the CalPERS board’s concerns about the funding status of California’s pension system.”
